In the mid 1960's my neighbor and good pal, Lee Pratt, built a 1955 Nomad that toured the midwest show circuit and eventually ended up in Rod & Custom Magazine. A couple of years ago, he bought a fairly rough '55 Nomad body and decided to clone his...

To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here.
I have always liked that car. I'm very excited to finally see it in person at the GNRS in a few weeks.
THAT car!?!? I've always loved the photos I've seen of it. Always wondered what happened to it. Incredible to see it being resurrected. Simply amazing.
Backwards Flames. Awesome on so many levels. I'm still so stoked that this stuff is around here. Keeps my mind blown.
I always admired that car too. I have that issue of R&C with my dad's address label still on it. I'll patiently wait for color pics of the new one. Hopefully there will be more pics of the car and less of shoes and tools
So cool to see these historic cars resurrected. A couple years ago, the Richard Graves clone of Sam Hollingsworth's Nomad, and now this amazing Nomad. I love to see these cars living again.
Don't worry Lee...there is not a "sick bastard" on this site that wouldn't have made the same decision to start again with the original. So...can I have the other one? LOL! Good luck getting it to the show.
Every car guy has "The Car" somewhere in his past and to be able to go and buy her back is something most guys dream of.The older you get,the more you'll understand.I sold a '59 MGA back to the guy that originally brought her over from England, and after a tearful reunion,he gave me the whole story about how they separated.....Anybody see my '73 240z?
"In support, I decided to drop by yesterday and be no help at all." Lmao. Done that a time or two....
Love it! I too would love to see a feature of how the car was when he found it in Kansas... hint hint.
Very cool. What are the odds of finding your car after all the years that have passed, while in the middle of building its clone, no less? Very rad. I'm stoked he decided to go with his original car. Very cool.
DAMN! I can't wait to see that one in person! As pitifully weird as it may sound, Lee's Nomad and the Hollingsworth Nomad is what inspired me to do the do on my late and much lamented Falcon wagon. Just the concept of a cool, mild custom wagon with some style...
I'm really looking forward to seeing that in person. Lee's Gold 1940 Ford is one of my all time favorite cars.
