    whats the drive in part?

  9. On Saturday and Sunday during the event, pre-1973 hot rods, customs classics muscle cars, and trucks are allowed to park in the streets that connect the Fairplex buildings that house the indoor show.

Pre-registration is very much recommended and ends January 10.

It is the outdoor car show that is an added attraction of the indoor car show.

Thanks daddio! I see tomorrow is the deadline like mentioned earlier. But in fine print it says cash only for on site registration, so I imagine if one were to come at like 5:30 a.m.-maybe you'd stand a chance?
    Feedback would be appreciated!

It really depends on the weather. If it's raining a little like last year, there should be open spots. There are separate lines of cars at the entrance for the Mexican Village/Suede Palace areas, regular Drive In parking and I think a line for cash pays.

This is on the flyer for the Drive In. You could find out how full it is - For updated space availablity please call 1-877-763-7469 and enter Ext. 7.

Today is the dead line for pre registering for the Drive In , so please do it by phone so they have enough time to process your pases . Call
    1 877 763 74 69 ext. 7
There will be two lanes for the Suede Alley and Mexican Village and the nice lawn area just south of the Suede Palace. one lane is for the preregistered vehicles, they get in first, and the second lane is for guys that are going to pay the day of the show.
We can't drop off cars on thursday in the Suede Alley any more.
The other two lanes are for street rods and cars that want to park around the other buildings.
We start letting in vehicles at 8.30 a.m. and all vehicles must be inside the show by 9.30 a.m.
Enter gate 17 and make sure you are in the correct lane.

Once again, I'll be the big dopey red headed guy in a HAMB or Acme Speed Shop t-shirt and flip flops.

See y'all at noon on Saturday

  23. I have heard that in years past on Friday the NHRA Museum opens early and that they sell a combined ticket with the GNRS (the roadster show opens at noon). Has anybody heard if that is still happening this year?

You might try Ontario. Lots of hotels because of the Airport and it's an easy cruise on the freeway to the fairplex.
