I tried it on a polyethylene gas tank and it failed. Not 100% sure whether it was the gas or the tank to blame.
I have used it a bunch it will attach many different materials most of the time the bond strength is stronger than the strength of the bonded material. not sure about the fuel resistance.
My steering wheel has been finished a couple of years and I have noticed a couple of hair line cracks,,nothing major,it has been exposed to both sweltering heat & frigid cold and the car has been driven close to 4000 miles since finished. HRP
I have used it on steering wheels, glass, window fuzzies, metal.. they even have it in a marine version..
Another vote for successful steering wheel repairs. Used it on a couple of 60's Pontiac wheels with excellent results.
So steering wheels seems to be the most popular so far. I do have a 61 olds wheel that needs a little love and now I know what to use on it. Does it shrink over time ? How about other uses? Anyone use it in a body work application? How about machine repair? Drill and tap into it? Things that really should have been welded ?
I used it to bond a full bedside patch panel along the leading edge (about 24 inches). Still was holding strong 10 years later when i scrapped that body in favor of a rust-free" Texas one. Vehicle was out side in Kansas weather the whole time and was driven daily for the first 5 of those years. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
