Here's a update after 1 mouth of doing nothing. The 1955 caddie nomad is getting there. The decals you see will be going on the roof and seats.
    Built in 1/87 scale.

Re-visiting an old project, 40 Coupe. Still a loooooong way to go!

Thinking of sectioning it as well? Also putting a rain gutter back on. looks kinda' like a dog without ears as it is.

All ideas, thoughts or criticisms welcome.

I think it's a great start sir, and I don't know about the rain gutter ...... I rather like it as a "smoothie":cool:

By the way, I finally saw your question about the A/FD and answered you in the 12/22/13 post .......... sorry for taking so long

This is one of my latest that I finished late last year. It was sitting in my stash for quite awhile.

I am scratch building three 1/8 scale race cars. A 2013 USAC champion's sprinter, a Don Edmunds vintage supermodified and a vintage midget. Here's the sprint car.

And last, here's the supermodified. I put a 1/24 scale model of the same car next to it so you can get a feel for how big these models are.

In the early 60's we started out with this 49 Merc with a flathead in G gas.
We later went to a 283 Chevy engine and moved up to D gas. It ended up with a 289 with Webers but still in D gas. I did the artwork for the decals and had them printed up. This is an AMT kit.

Heres the latest a cut down mod that ran in Maine early 60's. It's a model A shortened and narrowed. Frame is double z'ed and power from a tri powered 289 Ford. Thanks for looking.

Lots and lots of very cool stuff this week! Great start to the New Year! I tried to get it done for 2013 but ran into some paint peeling problems while foiling that meant I had to repaint. NFortunately I was able to score the body color, Duplicolor Toreador Red, so she got her re-shoot. I have some general cleaning and polishing to do, a license plate to hang, and then she'll be ready for the final beauty shots. Originally, I had planned to paint the red parts with Dullcote for a suede effect, but the paint came out smooth and glossy enough that I didn't want to waste it. The slick paint will be more apparent under stronger light with a white background. These shots were grabbed on my workbench which has very harsh lighting. With the black sheets (to hide the disaster which is the permanent state of my workbench) the photos are extremely contrasty. Dramatic but not very informative... I'll post better photos next week.

    Thanx for lookin',
    B.
