Thanks, I plan on running a disc brake set up. I want to make at as traditional looking as possible while still keeping at as safe for the street as I can.

There is nothing unsafe about drums. F-100 drums are a bolt on deal for 46-48 spindals you just need to change out one of the bearings. They are self energizing so you don't have to adjust them like early juice brakes. They can be found easily and are fairly cheap. Just a thought.

 

I just like the idea of disc for the fact that I am running a fully dressed big block and the fact that I plan on driving it a lot

Buy and use old stuff from the HAMB classifieds.

 

So I shouldn't buy new suspension components? I would think that would be something I'd want to buy new

Built an xbrace for my frame today just have to cut the ends to fit and weld it in. Will be mounting motor and trans in a couple weeks and channeling the body around it all

Is the Chevelle rear stock width? 53 1/4 bp to bp for 64-67 and 54 1/4 bp to bp for 68-72......I have wondered about a stock width Chevelle rear in a Model A frame...

It's a 66 super sport 12 bolt. It seems with my car channeled it will allow the tires to clear the quarters well.
