I learned to drive in the 49 Thames in 1964, bought the 49 Ford in 72 for $25.00, and picked up the 48 Thames in 2012.:)

  3. Always look forward to this thread popping up. My daily Burb is a few weeks past the cutoff for this site but I really hope to find and Art Deco Suburban that I can afford some day...

Wow, that's a beauty. Do you happen to know what the color name is?
I have a '55.2 Chevy truck I'm working on also. Any photos of yours?

Dan, when I first used this color back in '94, the color chip called it "Basic Green". Now its just a bunch of numbers in a formula that is very difficult to get anymore. Here's a picture of my '55.

That's a '35/'36 Chevy panel or suburban, quite a rare piece for advertising. What a shame.

Here are a few photos of my '36 Suburban, which was finally finished being by Bad Donkee Hot Rods. Photos were taken by Dan Greenberg at Pimilico, TRJ Revival 2013 and Lyle Willets at 2013 Jalopyrama. The truck had the Ed Roth "Wagen Meister" kids wagon displayed in the back of my suburban at Jalopyrama 2013. The truck is now having the interior upholstery done and hopefully I'll be driving it to the L.A. Roadsters 50th Anniversary, of the club, at the Roadster Show in June 2014.

I purchased this in 2012 from Arizona, very rust free 55 panel then went over and filled it with goodies to bring back to Australia.
