It's too late now... based on my truck, I think the louvers in the visor should vent the air out instead of letting it in. Thanx for the update pix. Gary

I like the way you have the louvers run on the visor.. I thought they looked odd the other way too...

 

Some one is going to have a lot of hours in prep to paint that puppy with that many louvers,(he's got my sympathy) . Just curious what is the count

 

Right now we are about 550. At least the roof won't need to be painted since it is aluminum

Amazing job on the metal work, it looks like you may have done that a time or two before. How many hours do you figure you have invested in the steering/pedal assembly? I couldn't even imagine where to start.

with out looking at the time card for when i did the steering and pedals, i bet i have about 40-50 hours in design to finished product on them

I truly believe Henry Ford would be mesmerized, at all the Old World Craftsmanship, taking place on his vintage tin. You got some Mad-Fabrication skills!! Thanks for taking the time to post ALL the detailed step by step pictures of your progress. Steering and pedal assembly is a masterpiece. Also really dig the dimpled floor sections.
Threads like this rejuvenate me to keep going on my own restoration.

Beautiful craftsmanship and excellent eye for detail

 

it has been a while since i have much of an update on this car worthy of posting. so i took the body off to finish up the metal work on the underside of the body and fire wall. while that is off i am finishing up the chassis and suspension.



wanted to make a neat little bolt in wish bone mount, so i whipped these up. has a 7* tapered bung welded to the back, and bot on the frame









made up some gussets for the wish bones, tig welded them on and smoothed them out



and welding and smoothing out the threaded bungs





and got the torque arm welded up, a link style bushing goes in the back



there will be a lot more progress on this car in the near future. we are hoping to have it done by january

been a while since i have worked on this car. we took a break on it while the owner was dealing with some other car stuff at his place. finally getting back after it to get it ready for summer/ fall



today i started getting all the little bits on the Minges coupe ready for the chrome shop. so i am doing screen windows on the front backing plates. here i am laying out the design



then got one side half way done. made up some plates that will go on the back side to clamp the screen to the backing plate.



one down one to go

 

Total 'wow' factor!...nice detail to your project build...with interesting louvres overhead..I've not seen that before!----thanks for sharing...looking forward the end results.

Wow, great work... and I have to say I love the Model A grill in a Model A.... I can't stand a 32 grill in one...

 

Came across this today and wondered what happened to this great build. How about a update.

 

everything i all blown apart. the chassis , and body are out to paint, all the parts fro chrome are done. should be getting the chassis and some parts back soon to start getting the chassis back together

 

You have incredible TALENT sir. Fantastic build!

 

finally making some good progress on this one. chassis came back from the paint shop, and all teh chrome showed up.

didnt take any pics of it up to this point, but it should be rolling tomorrow, and ready to stab the engine down in the chassis
