Still working on me new shed, passed another building inspection the Thursday before Christmas. Slow progress when your doing the work yourself.
My rule that really helps.....no mowers, bikes, garden tools or womens crap in the shop. Build a small utility shed for that stuff.
I had that same rule! Then I got real sick for a few months and all that crap showed up in the SHOP! Been feeling better lately and it's taken more than a year and I ALMOST have that CRAP evicted!
I just can't see how you guys keep your garage/shops so clean. I can clean mine up and after 10 minutes I have it too dirty and cluttered to work. Mine is too cluttered and dirty to even take a photo of. Seems like every job I have to do in the garage involves something grimy and dusty.
Exactly! I have to work in my garage and it seems like I'm always acquiring different "stuff" to work on, hang on the walls, find space for on the shelves... It seems like two days after I clean up the place, something else needs fixed or I go to a swap meet and buy more stuff (of course after selling off excess stuff). I'm also working on the 49, the Bluesmobile, and my '71 Road Runner, and there are parts for all 3 in various boxes, bins, on the shelves, under the shelves... I also have PA equipment, lighting, and some stage props and we use my garage for band practice for my Blues Brothers act, so that makes it even tougher! I try, but the stuff just grows!
added this onto my house this winter. took about 2.5 months to do before middle end still have to side it in the spring.. next step is to move machines and tool boxes in. posted a build thread over on garagejournal. being part of the house helps.. already started working more on my RPU
Thanks! It's a slow process for sure. Crazy busy at work, a billion things going on thru the holidays here "hosting" in the new house and such.(which are all good things). And trying to do things right in the shop and not just throw stuff in and up. Do it once and done more or less. Never had a lift before.... Man that's niiiice!!!! Did I mention it has a man cave too?!? Pics here are before I bought it, but games, bar and scooter stayed. ;-) Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
This is a wall of my shop. I snagged these can style letters from a store that went out of business called Toner & Ink. I was looking for words to spell with them. I was excited to find I could spell NITRO. However I used one of the Scrabble Programs online where you type in all the letters you have and it gives you the words you can make. I couldn't believe that if I used every single letter, I could spell: "TINKER ON"
