Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by nitrohonkey, Sep 12, 2012.

  1. Hahaha...so if my decision to trade was considdered "upside down" than your trade was??? :)

    Very cool irony!!!

  2. This truck is forsale 10K firm

  3. Truck sold, never left my shop, and just got it back. Wish I could say that will be the last dumb thing I do! Back to working on it pictures soon.

  4. Good to hear!

  5. Sold it and bought it back?

That was quick, most of us that make that mistake have to wait years before we have the opportunity to get the one that slipped through our fingers back in our possession.HRP

  6. My father bought it from me, decided he did not want to build it, so I figured out some creative financing! Now it is staying for good.

  7. Good to hear.
You got a lot of work into it so far,
would have been a shame not to see you finish it up.

  8. Thanks, I like your truck!
This where the project is as of today.

Those corvair front ends must have been popular in the 70's. My dad just picked up a 34 studebaker with one of those.

  10. There was an article in one of the hotrod magazines with Leroi Tex Smith installing one on a 33 or 34 ford frame (around 1963 or 1964)...blew me away.

Corvair Front ends were not designed to handle the weight of an engine , Small Ball Joints disintegrate easily.

  12. As promised...

I learned in the 70's not to waste time on the corvair thing. Took it out and went back to the I-beam on my 40 tudor...

  19. Yes, what tires? Looking good!
