Man, page after page of inspiration! Now's the time to get to building. The H.A.M.B. Plastic Model Builders -- http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=105 -- is a social group. You'll need to register for it at the link but it's free.

Starting Jan. 1 they'll have a build off for drag models. The details are here: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?do=discuss&group=&discussionid=41935 . You'll have three months from start to finish. No redlighting! Builders post their progress and give plenty of encouragement as well as some ribbing. My plan is build an early '60s rail with an inline 6 engine.

It didn't place but I build these things for myself, not to win.

However, I did take first place in the lakes racer build-off in 2008 with this:

Hope ya didn't mind. That's one of my favorite '36 builds. Inspired me to start on my AMT '36s. That's a nice roadster ya got there.

Just for the record. All of the pics I put up from post#51-back are of other builders cars. NOT MINE. They are pics of models that caught my eye & impressed me greatly. Again I hope the builders/owners don't mind me reposting the pics. Just my way of saying "Great Job!!!" & finishing off 2013 Sunday Models with a BANG!!!
