This category is just too narrow.
what about "what is the coolest car with four wheels" apologies to Morgan and robin reliant owners.

    Here's a nice one.

  4. The Barris-built Earl Wilson Studebaker 4-door Kustom, the Modern Grecian. A rather polarzing car -- people tend to like it or hate it. Personally, I find the first version easier on the eyes.

  5. For me they would be:
    33-34 Fords
    56-57 GM sports hardtops
    1960s era Continentals
    Any 4 door phaetons
    1980s era Cadillacs (don't ask)

I don't understand the fascination with a Tucker. Thats got to be the flat out ugliest damn automobile ever designed.

  6. I've always been fascinated by the 1956 Chrysler/DeSoto four-door hardtops and their original solution to make the rear windows work...

I prefer 4 doors with saloon doors over 4 doors with all 4 doors opening the same direction. If they hinge at the center or at opposing ends; either is great! Just not fond of the standard all hinged at the front set up.
30's four doors are my favorites, but there are some 40's that retained the 30's styling and I like their body lines too. Mine is a '46 four door, but same body style from '37-'46, so I like that.
    Mine is a '46 British Austin A10.

I think my `54 Jag is pretty cute. Picture it without 1950 Dodge bumpers though.

  11. On the 1937 though 1940 Willys, the four-door and two-door sedan use the same body. For the two-door, they simply welded the rear doors in place and soldered the shut lines. For the 1941-42 Americar, the two-door sedan was dropped and the four-door sedan received quarter glass, which really dress up the car.

I am sorry I 99 percent do not like 4 drs., only a few exceptions however. I do have a 41 Graham Hollywood which is 4 dr., but if I had the money it would become a 2 dr.. My first car was a 46 Chev. Fleetline 4 dr. sedan, got a lot of razing in high school about that. Maybe that's why I don't like them.

  19. I had a Citroen CX Prestige in Neptune Gray - similar to this car. The proportions are deceiving - it was a very big car, as big as a full size American car. It had hydraulic powered brakes, steering and suspension. A CAR magazine review of the CX said for the first fifteen minutes it was impossible to drive - after that you never wanted to drive anything else.

Well if I had to have four doors in my garage I'd park a '32 roadster next to my '32 Vicky;-)

I think almost all 4-door hartops look decent. I don't like the sedans with thick metal posts. I favor gm and mid 50s mopar.

I have a 41 Graham Hollywood 4 dr., that’s all they made. When comparing it to a custom made 2dr Hollywood, the 2dr. is the best looking. My Dad had a 46 Chev Fleetline 4 dr. and gave it to me at 16 yrs old. I hated it because it had too many doors. That was the culture I grew up in and still suffer from it today. Oh to find that 46 today I would gladly suffer (ca. lic. JMC 161, Blk/Yel plates).

  27. Edward,is this what you guys are planning to do with the 4 door project,,I was kinda shocked when I finally realized that was my old sedan photo shopped...it looks fantastic! HRP
