Technical Who are the "go to" carb guys these days?

I did a search. but most of the threads were so old I don't know if people are still in business. My interest is rebuilt 81's, but thought a thread of who is who updated, would be useful.

I do my own for the most part but I needed advice as well as parts to complete my 6 carb nailhead.
Uncle max is the guy to deal with. He doesn't promote himself yet for now its a part time deal soon to become a full time endeavor.
Verry knowledgable and equally helpful.
He is half a country away from me and there are plenty of others in between but I will use him every time.
I'm am sure plenty of others will agree.

Carbking no longer is restoring carburetors due to the focus on the increased demand for the American-made rebuilding kits with leather accelerator pumps which we make. We haven't rebuilt a carb in more than 2 years. Sorry.

Stromberg carbs - best for long time, Jere Jobe. Left SoCal a while ago, now in Wyoming/Montana. "SEARCH" this forum or Google him.

 

There was a fordbarn post a year ago about him being retired/ semi retired. Nothing recent.

 

I've used Charlie Price and Uncle Max in the past. Night and day difference.
Will only use Uncle Max now, he's the best, and did the carbs in my avatar.
They were vintage "old chrome" 97s and he made them look good, run great, and not leak. Thank you Uncle Max!

Yes to Uncle Max. He puts the correct finish on the castings. Ken Ct uses good parts but his "restoration" means a bead blast of castings and steel parts followed by a spray of clear coat. For what he charges, you could easily get someone to do it correctly.

Boils down to a professional job (in every way) or some amateur-looking affair.
