A quick little wheelstand in 1st, front wheels off the ground again in 2nd, The sound of the engine screaming though the gear changes, etc. I've gotten plenty of compliments about the wheelstands I do with my powerglide equipped Chevy II, and I wouldn't have it any other way. But the stickshift cars are what I enjoy watching the most.

So much for working on the car the next few days. Somehow managed to fry every outlet in the garage. Flipping breakers like crazy. Pretty put off at the moment. Probably going to blow a few hundred bucks on an electrician that was headed towards this heap. Eh...first world problems at best I guess.

Oh I thought of that too. Problem is I left some gas in it and it turned bad and now won't crank. I spoke with my father in law tonight and he gave me some ideas to try.

You are going to need some music for the garage to get through this build.

Damn, now I'm getting sick. Fever, fluid behind the ears,.. the works. No worries though. I'm going to get this car rocking one way or another. Get past this and the holidays I will pick up the pace.

No, I won't be coming up this year Koop. Going to put it together and race it locally for a while. I plan on posting some videos of it though once it's running.

No pics to post, but I'm back at it again. Solved my electricity outage (replaced cfgi outlet) and fortunately with the help of a very kind fellow at the local welding supply was able to fix my welder as well. For the past 6 years I have really used and abused my little Hobart Handler 140 mig. I'm not a pro by any stretch ,but for the money I think it's a nice little welder. Here is a nice tip for all you mig users out there that may not know this because I didn't. If you have a lot of metal dust in your shop it can collect inside your welder and really muck it up and short it out. Sometimes it can even totally fry it. I opened mine up and blew it out real well and it fired right back up. Welds a lot better now too.

I should have the tunnel done by Saturday night, that is if I didn't cut it down too much since you saw it last. I didn't take the time to put the engine and tranny back in when I did this and fear it may not fit now. Getting pretty damn tired of taking the engine in and out, but I need to nip that. Not the end of world if I got overly enthusiastic with the cutoff wheel just more time involved. Hopefully my laziness won't bite me in the tookus. We shall see..

I have went back and forth on this one a lot, but I feel like a power glide is what I need to do. All I race down here is autos and I don't want to give them any advantage. My first race car was a stick and its tough to run a number against the autos.
