Quite frankly, that looks a hell of a lot better than a standard COE made into a pickup. The proportions are pretty close to the mark. Me likee.:D

Here's one I did for a thread on another board. I did a lot of work on it so I figured I'd drop it in here. I tried to deuglify it.

Nah, Rolls Royce Merlin engine mounted in the bed. :D

Even if you could find a place for a real engine, it would take a contortionist just to get in the cab. Maybe have to put the driver in place, then weld up the cab around him!

    Thanks, Eli.
This was the first time I did a photo chop to someone else's sketch.
My designs are usually from the "less-is-more school." :D

This was a canvas I couldn't resist. I'd love to see one of these Squarebirds converted to a Ranchero style truck, using the trunk as a basis for a rear tilting tonneau cover. Then maybe drop it and add some chrome steels.

Hope these were the wheels you were talking about, Hard to find them at that angle.

    Thanks again,

  12. Nice job! Most people don't pick up on the subtle, but time consuming, details that you added, like the rest of the fender of the next door Ford, the filled-out steering wheel, and deletion of the stuffed animal in the package tray! :)

Thanks! Yeah the little details matter to me, plus stuff has to be added if it wasn't in the original pic. As for the Ford next to it, I knew it was a '77 T-bird because I rebuilt the FMX transmission in one for a friend of mine years ago, so I recognized those louvers. I just found a similar picture of a '77 T-bird and grafted the parts I needed. You may have noticed also that the B pillars on the T-bird were narrowed as well. I'd really love to build a car like this.

This is an amazing photoshop. That would make a nice custom. I assume they are much smaller than the American model. Nice job.

I'm having a hard time deciding on paint color. If anyone out there is bored and feels like playing with this image of my car that would be awsome!

I have it down to 4 options
    1. Paint the whole thing (bumpers and all) a flat white.
    2. Flat white body and bumpers with a green (Kelly green?) metal flake top.
    3. Whole thing (bumpers too) satin black
    4. Satin black body with the green metal flake roof

I also plan on WW tires, so it would be cool to see that in there too.

^^ Don't paint the bumpers! Painted bumpers look like shit on everything but maybe a 50's or 60's pickup truck with the white painted trim. I'm begging you to reconsider! Even if they're in poor shape, they're still better than painted ones.

Yeah, I'm on the fence...only reason I'm considering it is because the chrom is chipping off mine and the front one is ate up with rust. I've seen a couple painted the same color as the car and I didn't think it looked bad. There are no chrome shops in my area either.

I'd paint them silver before body color! Yuck.

Purty shure I know that car...why mess with success? It WAS intended to be ugly. That is its essence.

You like the T'bird/Ranchero don'tcha OahuEli? :D Me too, and I'd probably have done that if I didn't already have the worlds coolest pickup (my Diamond T). Thinning the tops huge B pillar or sail panel is perhaps my favorite alteration on my car. I was REALLY nervous about doing it, but the result is striking, and a huge change in the cars character. The chrome steelies look good on this too, so I"ve got a couple ideas for alternate wheel/tire combos to switch out the Salt Flats for. Pretty car, nice job. Somebody ought to build one…

Can I get mine done, just the way it is but with a 3" chop and another with the same chop and wide whites?

Would anyone be able to take this grill and bumper and put it on this truck? (and merge it with the background paint color of the truck) Can you also give me a brushed aluminum/steel option and/or powdercoated to simulate brushed steel? Also, maybe a cream color painted version too (bumper/grill/headlight chrome pieces only). Thanks,Sastchimo
