What front tire are you running? What would you recommend? Let's say for an A body mopar, bias ply? Or Radial? Car will probably not see any track time, maybe a pass or two here or there.... So whatcha recommend? Or let's see pics of yours! Thanks

    As close to a 155R X 15 Pirelli as I could find.

Man I love those. I shy'd away from them last go around, something about "Sensibility" bullshit was in my head. Regret it. I need runners! Look bitchin

I ran some 6.50/15 on my 66 chey II years ago. They where pep boys tires, but I ended up selling it before I go to put a whole lot of miles on it! So i wasn't sure if I should go that route again, or something different.. I plan on going the Towel City pie crust route on the rears, so it's time to plan for the fronts!

I run 7.75 x 15 BFG Silvertown bias plys mounted on 15" x 3.5" Fenton Gyros on the front of my '57 Chevy gasser. Tall (27") and skinny. Tall, skinny tires up front are an old drag racer trick, they allow a car to stage deeper and they break the timing beams at the finish line a fraction of a second faster. They also look great.

Size depends on what rim you will run, but I run radials on both of my cars. They don't look as cool as bias plies, but if it's mostly street I want it to drive well. I've got 3.5" rims on the Austin and run 165-15, but wider on the Falcon, plus the weight of the BBC, so it's 185 on it.

I ran Coker 6.40 15's BFG silvertowns on my 65 Chevy II. I think a taller tire looks better on a later model straight axle car.

No, they are not DOT approved. They are also pretty lightweight in both tread and sidewall.
