    A '32 motor for my '32 roadster:

Miller's 308cid DOHC V8 was specifically designed for use in Miller's (two) 1932 four wheel drive Indy Cars. One of these cars won the 1936 AAA Championship. The other traveled to Europe to contest international races. This may be the first V8 to feature dual overhead camshafts. Cylinder banks are arranged in a 45° V, and a flat (180°) crankshaft is used. New to Miller, its split aluminum crankcase features babbitted bearings in removeable caps. Heads/cylinders are cast iron.

  4. Or if you're really nuts, like this - our 1940 Cadillac flathead, 700 HP or so on Alky :

I would love to have a Boss 429 or a 427 SOHC. Those valve covers really draw my attention. Kinda rare to see on the street. There's probably a "good" reason for that. (Feel free to insert your definition of "good"!)

    Papa,

Wow. Ardun, Hilborn injectors and pump, SW tach drive, Vertex angle drive. What did this come out of before being placed into deep storage?

I'll cast my vote for a dressed up Olds Rocket but it's gotta have 6-2s and a vertex. After that it's an early Corvette 2-4bbl just like the factory made it - beautiful.
Next would be a Hemi w/the Firepower valve covers, then a dressed up Nailhead.

A cool engine-but not for a hot rod IMHO. For me, that means carbs or FI, no blower, no AC compressor dangling about, no snakes of exhaust tubing. . (Full disclosure-I run a 350SBC with an Edelbrock 4 barrel-coolish, but not COOLEST)

Nothing real fancy here but Pontiac in anything I would ever own. 12:1 469 cubic inches of Pontiac power.
