I'm a car guy, of course, but sometimes I would rather not have them clogging up the scene like this. I know it can't be helped in most cases. Just my 2 cents.

Hot Dr. Pepper was mentioned in the movie "Blast from the past" and I thought it was just made up for the movie. Has anyone ever tried hot Dr. Pepper and how was it?

Tony Brancato and Tony Trombino, known as the "Two Tony's", were found shot to death in the front seat of an abandoned car in Los Angeles. Both Brancato and Trombino had been identified robbing a syndicate-controlled Nevada hotel. 1951.

I have never had hot Dr. Pepper, but I remember the ads from when I was a kid. It seems to me I read that when they switched over from sugar to high-fructose corn syrup it tasted funny when heated, so they quit promoting it hot.

I try to avoid that high fructose corn syrup as much as possible. That stuff is not good for our bodies. I buy throwback pepsi and mountain dew and sierra mist.

I have noticed the early 60s Lincolns that the presidents used have 57 wheel covers, did they originally have 14 inch wheels and went with 15s for the run flat or what ever special tires they had back then.

I saw the presidential cars at Ford where I worked. They were mostly fabricated there, and went to Cleveland for the armor and bodywork. They had truck level powertrains and suspension because of the weight involved, which must have been around 10,000 pounds. I'm not sure about wheel sizes, but if they were 15 inch, the tires would have had to be 6 ply or heavier. Remember, this was before kevlar existed, so metal armor would have been used. After the assassination, they shipped the car back to Dearborn, and the guys who fixed it said that it was still a mess and that it hadn't been cleaned up at all.

It seems like all the pictures I have seen have the 57 caps so I will have to pay more attention.
