I wish i could find a smooth 54 chevy grill. That would be killer. I just might have to fill the holes and get the whole piece re chromed. and along with that i am frenching the headlights, as well as filling the upper grill in with tubing.:)

Try Chevs of the 40's. I can't tell for sure, but the '54 grille bar they sell appears to be undrilled.

Yea i started it but never finished it. Im doing a period correct custom. I just ordered the Paint the ford midnight blue, and Olds nugget gold.

I can just buy a center bar from chevs of the 40s.

There is a molding that goes around the bottom of the post's just above my door handle. So im going to lay the gold all the way down to that molding.

No i want it to be just a plain and simple kustom.

  26. that's gonna look real good. I would incorporate some flake in the paint as well, not too much, but a little flake adds to the traditional look a lot. another thing that is very traditional is removing all trim and putting just a sliver of chrome trim a few feet long flowing off of the rear wheel opening. and putting the paint separation on the roof. that's traditional, but then again its very widely done. but that's just my 2cents.

Thanks for tje suggestions. I have an old barris styleing book my grandpa gave me from the late 50's early 60's. I have the chrome strip down the side. I dont want to much trim, but none isnt very custom like the used to do. I would do the flake on the inside im not the flake guy :)

This is Dave Burgarin's 51 merc. I like the way the chrome paint dividers that are on this car. And i love the 54 packard taillights. I would like to incorperaye those into my car.
