    Howza Bruthas-

Love these shots. Kecke, Edsel101, great cars friends.
I posted a picture of my left for dead '59 waaaay back when after I had found it and spray bombed it in red oxide. Zack, Mr. Dale, Aaron and I took her for a ground pounding shakedown in Aravada, Colorado. Eventually, Ditzler Guy shot it in satin black and my daughter and I shot the pink on Rita to make the car pop.

We moved form Colorado to the wilds or Oregon. And here we have made a home. Crazy thing is, the Edsel I own was sold and driven all over Oregon as a grain salesmen's car. In 1969 it was rear ended..HARD. And parked. How it ended up in Colorado is beyond my grasp.

But the car was my daily driver for almost two years. A tranny mishap and I had to park it. So she sat....and sat.
But. Now the trans has been fixed. The body is coming back and I re assembled the grille and front clip. I removed the dashed lines from my grille. Got rid of the eyebrow trim and painted the stainless between the front bumper.
Out back, the rear bumper has been replaced with an extra front bumper with a rolled pan between. As for rear lights? '59 Chevy cat eyes.

I am about a third of the way from having it back on the road. These are teaser pics.

    Enjoy.

I really like what you did with the grille! Looks killer! My 59 came from Oregon as well! I bought it out of Sweet Home. I originally thought the ad was a joke due to the location…

Been wanting one for awhile. Spotted a couple while traveling through Montana this summer, one Eastbound on a trailer, another languishing on the side of Hwy 93 near south of Kalispel.

Hello! I am a newbie of sorts, I was on here about six years ago, when I had my (second)'55 Buick Special, hence my user name. Well, since then, I have had a '58 Dodge, a '58 Desoto, and now, a '59 Edsel Corsair. There aren't a lot of Edsel forums, and I am doing mine as a mild custom anyway, so I came here. I'll attach a before and after picture of my car. It is almost done! I live in Dallas, Ga. by the way. Oh, and the cool thing about this car is that it sat in a basement for 43 years, in Marietta, Ga. I bought it from a fella that got it at an estate sale. He bought it in 2011, and I found it on Craigslist in April 2012. It needed some work, but the engine wasn't locked up, and it is a 361 FE from a '58 Edsel.

That is a very unusual two-tone, reminds me of a '58 Dodge paint scheme. I am referencing 1954fordkustom's car, in this case. ---Zach

Summer is coming. Look how I put front license plate, barely visible, I used 63/64 galaxie glovebox hinge I hammered hinge little bit, now it does not move too easily. When speedpump is too high, it will bend plate under car. I am playing with law ;)

Wrong, Few Edsels were sold in Europe too. Here in Finland, I know 4 Edsels what were sold here as new cars, In Sweden more than 30 were sold. All with KM speedometers. Here in Finland we had back then bilateral trading rules with CCCP, so, American cars had expensive custom fees, only rich guys could buy those.

Before WW2 most typical cars here were American cars :O)

These images below are from My hometown, Salo, Finland, taken in 58/59 near Lydman Bakery & Cafe, which was my mothers first job, she was about 17 yrs old back then. This Edsel had Swedish plates.

I love Edsels but I am at a loss as to why we have this long thread on the Traditional Hot Rod site? Not complaining, I just guess I still don't understand the mods posting criteria. Nice car, by the way.

DSC00179 (1024x685).jpg Villager wagon I owned about 7 years ago. Originally sunset coral with gray metallic scallops, would have been a nice colour combo.

I owned this '59 Ranger for about 60,000 miles. It had a hopped up 223 from a '58 pickup, with the OD trans from a '59 Ford wagon.

    EDDIE.jpg ranger.jpg

It had rust and Bondo, being from salty SandyEggo, but I still miss it.
