History Old Chicago Car Club - Compression Kings (plaque pic too)

    From the mid 50's Strokers around 35th and Pulaski, not a really nice area today. Dennis has the pattern and I've got permission from the designer of the plaque to get a couple of copies. My buddy tells me that the girl friends were called the Strokerettes. I told him that at least they weren't called the Strokees.:rolleyes:

    59BuickWagon, the car plaque with the Lil' Devil with a crown and piston is plaque of the Compression Kings. I was talking to my Uncle on the phone about the old hot rod days and he was a member with Al, Moon, and some of the others. His name is Rudy Schwamlien. He doesn't know anything about the other plaque with the coupe on it!

  4. I could ask Al's wife to ask Al for more history, my understanding was all these guys were North side.
