Hey y'all, these wheels may be a little off topic but I don't know who else to turn to but the mighty HAMB. My dad has had these wheels sitting in his shop for the past 30+ years and I'm not sure what they are, are they valuable, are they really what they seem to be? Any help would've appreciated, thanks, Shaun ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1386459702.996816.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1386459713.813179.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1386459724.448539.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1386459734.631188.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1386459744.949469.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1386459753.513873.jpg

shelby cal 500 13 x 6.5" wheels with VW adapters attached.

Not real valuable to me....and I don't know too many guys looking for 5 lug 13" wheels, for anything.

btw I have a set of 15" Shelby Cal 500 wheels on my truck...they're 6 lug....they made them in lots of sizes and bolt patterns. The center caps might be worth something.

I blew the pic up as much as I could and it sure looks like it says 13". What would have had 13" 5 lug wheels, maybe Dodge Dart or Plymouth Valiant? I think all Ford 13" were 4 lug, I'm not sure about GM stuff, maybe Corvair?:confused::confused:

Good eye on the VW adapters... My dad had a few in his lifetime and he also had a corvair. They are 13" for sure.

Yep, I can't remember if Shelby just licensed the name to someone to sell the wheels or actually marketed them.
Not a lot of value except to someone looking for a set of 13 inch 5 lug aluminum slots with that bolt pattern. They never came on one of the cars he did and sold.

Sunbeam Tigers, Mustang II's, and Pinto's came with 13" wheels. To name a few.

  8. I don't know about the Tigers, but Mustang II and Pinto were 4 lug, Valiant and Dart were 5 lug 13s I would imagine V8 Falcons and many compact AMCs, and GMs also would have been 5 lug 13s

pretty sure they were just licensed. The main thing of any value there would probably be the caps.

I don't know which would be worse, to be the guy looking for a set of these, or the guy selling them. hard to find and hard to sell at the same time.
