Nice looking car! Maybe lower it a bit?

  6. Yeah, I plan on dropping it an inch or two once I dig it out of storage in the spring.

got this civil service wagon 27,000 original miles, tried to sell it, no one was interested soo. going to drop it, have American 200s wheels, fix the minor rust ,flat black it...only question is do I leave the stock drive train and 6 volt system? t runs fine, just not overwhelmed with the 292 power. It'll be my everyday driver till I can get a old pick-up....any Idea's I'm open to suggestions..

  11. Flat black will ruin that poor old wagon. I commend you on trying to sell it before messing with it though, too bad there weren't any takers.

Hey guys haven't up posted in a while. Found a body for my smashed 1960 pontiac safari wagon. Did all the work during the thanksgiving weekend. All that is left is steering shaft fabricated and reconnect the bags and get power to the engine.

  21. Loving all these wagons, what a great way to kill a couple of hours. Still miss my old Plymouth wagon. My mother in law used to call it "that shit brown wagon!" Makes me miss it even more.

It is the Golden Sonic. I bought it from Steve Edwards. He had it for about 20 years. Did Ronnie Johnson own Cruisin Comfort?

    Ahhhh, Steve...yeah, now I remember...

No, Brian Groom and Ed Banes owned Cruisin' Comfort together...Ronnie Johnson built and owned a '55/'56 Ford sedan, he may still have it...

Your wagon is nice, always did like it...of course, I've been a '57 Chevy nut all my life...

Working on my 57 Ford lately. More of a low rider. Not my style, but still fun to drive.

Love the Buick. That was a gorgeous model, even as a wagon.

Hellboy, glad to see you found a new body for your Pontiac. What is different between the two cars that caused you to need to make a new steering shaft?

I see that original damage and just want to moider da broad what done that to your car.

  29. What paint/colour did you use on that ?

Not sure.. I traded a '47 international for it 7-8 months ago. I can ask the guy I got the wagon from and see if he remembers. It's a flat purple. People either hate it or love it, it's a very polarizing color.
