This '53 Chevy was picked up at a swap meet somewhere around Dallas. It is maroon and somewhere was told it was a utility company truck. Has a ghost number on the driver front bumper. Found a brass tag key fob behind the heater with original key and punch out section. Anyone in Texas with knowledge of what company used maroon trucks back in the day? Might even paint it on the door... Thanks for your help. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Can't help ya on the utility company ideas, but it sure looks like a nice foundation for a build. Plans?
It could be city of Waco. I had a 43 dodge wartime pickup from the city of Waco about the same color. Texas new mexico Power used maroon trucks also. A title search should pull up any previous owners. Will
chrome bumpers on a fleet truck? I dunno about that...they built the fleet trucks with as few options as possible...might have belonged to a private business, that title search might yield some useful info
Not chrome - painted silver. No chrome on this truck I guess due to the war effort. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
