I agree with painted lace, all the stuff I've saved after we used it was plenty crunchy.

    Now that I've stopped hurling: ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1386617131.296165.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1386617143.402659.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1386617153.623769.jpg

The dubious clowns I work with threw out my best piece of lace, so I had to use this. It's shred of women's buttfloss. I gets even better with larger lace. Enjoy!

That lace is a poor choice because it has very full regions. You want something more dispersed.

My brain said "no way that will work". I'm pleasantly surprised to see that it does. Neat!

  17. Thanks for the follow up!

What the hell were you expecting? It is the pattern of lace imprinted on a piece of steel pretty much what was advertised if you ask me.

  18. Although the pattern of that piece wasnt the best, it sure shows that it works and guys can run with the idea.

Maybe I've lived a sheltered life, but I had never before heard the term "Buttfloss". Just for a brief, fleeting moment, I thought maybe it was an actual type of lace. THEN, it hit me. OMG. That term is hilarious, and conures up multiple images....some good, some very good, and some not so good. Anyway, thanks for showing us your results. Very impressive.

can't think of anywhere on my car that lace imprinted aluminum would look cool. got any examples of what people have done with it?

  25. I agree. Pretty anti climatic. Less expectations if that was attached to the original post. Just sayin

I used .040 5052, so it's not even fully soft. It's magnesium alloyed. It should take way sharper in 1100. And to all those in tears, I'll be refunding admission as soon as you pay, lol!!

Two toned then sand through the high areas to do small dash inserts may interesting. Why not? Lace on the roof, lace on the dash, lace on the floor........
