Lol, if your referring to this Dirt << here, i have finally come to the conclusion! I bought a 56 front end for the car a couple days ago.
Bean, love the car, wanna sell your jerico? I too spoke to Quain, Im setting up my Clutch-Turbo, but man there is a part of me that wants to be slamming gears now!!

 

Ya, that was you brother, but heck whom am I, your out there running low tens, and meanwhile my heap is running low nuthins! Glad you knew I was just messing with you, you've done alot with that car in a little amount of time, and should be very proud of yourself. I love Tri-5 gassers, as well as ALL the others, its just nice to see a few 56's coming together.

These pics suck but its all I have. I really need to invest in some lighting. The paint is still wet in these pics so it will eventually have a flat finish.
I'm sure the scoop looks BiG but once the clip is attached it should appear more at home. The bottom 2 and 1/2" or so will be below the hood line.

That thing is gonna look meaner than a frickin rattlesnake....!!!!
The way you've constructed that scoop kinda reminds me of the ones on Funny cars from the early '70's,or some of the altered wheelbase A/FX stuff running the outlaw match racing circuit in the mid '60's.

In short,that looks completely badass!

Thanks Scott! I had all these different ideas going into it...even thought about making a wood boss and hammering some metal around it for a rounder shape and somehow wound up with this one. I wanted one that would really grab some air but that I could still see the tree over.
I have a buddy who runs an injected SBC dragster and he picked up a mile an hour in the 1/4 after he put a scoop on it. 1 mph may not sound like much, but go to wallace racing and see how much HP it takes to gain that. (In his case it was 14 HP)

This weekend I'm going to start on the tranny tunnel. Should prove "exhilarating"....

 

I gotta say Man,I've been watching this thread like a hawk,waiting for updates.

Can't wait to see you get this thing up and running.

Next year you and Ric should be loaded for bear with those '56's!

HAHA! That's cool..I sure want to oblige you too. I barely had any time at all to work on it this week.
I really missed racing this season. Can't wait to line up with everybody again.

 

No progress coming this weekend...Ice knocked out our lights. Had to pack up the wife and kids like a bunch of refugees this morning and go visit family after temp dropped to 40 degrees in the house. Baaaaaah!
