Just bough aset of Fenton's from a fellow Hamber off a 235.Running a. stock 216 in my 50 hardtop until my 235 is rebuilt.Since the 216 is running so good,I'm thinking of keeping it in for a while ie.does'nt smoke, good compression,& does'nt burn oil.Sooo....Will these headers from the 235 fit my 216 in the meantime? Also have an Offy twin singles intake from the 235 I'd like to use as well. Thanks in advance for ur help!

  2. short awnser is yes , 216 235 and I believe its the 261 all are interchangeable on intake and exhaust manifolds, may need a block off plate or 2 and a intake heater for cold starts ,speedway has a lot of gear for both applications

I think the ports are different sizes... You can buy adaptor rings that will make it work. Some people suggest running 216 dual carbs on the 235 so you get better fuel/air ratio.

The Fenton headers will work on any 216 235 or 261, as long as they are not the older rare ones that actually bolted up to the bottom of the intake manifold. Reason being, is that the mating surface between the stock manifolds of a 216 is level, and the 235/261 is angled.
As for intakes, the 216 and early 235 ports are smaller than the later 235/261, so if you try to swap intakes around, you might need adapter rings on the intake ports.
