It was great to see the pickup run shooter! I know you have already seen the videos of it running but I figured it would be cool to have them on your thread.

Congrats, looks great, has a real Silver Dollar feel to it (which is a cool thing I reckon).

Thanks for all the kind words. I drove it about 15 miles on the street yesterday on the way to breakfast and back. Pretty fun. Those open headers keep you awake!

Here is an updated shot of the pickup. Taken at the Portland Roadster Show.

Yes, it sure is! You'll get a lot more use out of it with an exhaust system underneath! Are you going to cut into the side of the collector, so you can uncap without dropping the exhaust?

Yes, tapping into the collector so I can still uncap them and run it open if I want.

This truck looks like it's straight outta 1962! Excellent job man I dig it don't change a thing.

Kinda refreshing to see someone build a 'gasser' (I hate even using that word anymore) and nail all those little details. Willys pickup body, wheels, tires, color, lettering, stance, you got it goin on dude.

Hey-thank you! It was important to me to have it be as close to era correct as possible. (but still be safe)

    Thank you again!

Nice. I like the small rectangle Moon pedals a little better. I found two Moon style pedals at the swap meet, but both copies. One rectangle, and one boot shaped. I put the rectangle one in the Falcon.

Had a blast at Eaglefield racing the pickup last weekend. Had the pleasure of having the truck shot by Kleet Norris while it was there.

Nice Truck? If I remember correctly, they ran concrete in the pipe rear bumpers back in the day. Is that still relevant?
