Hello, I have been lurking for a while now, so it's time I introduced myself. I am into traditionally styled hot rods. I finally built my first one and took it to the Lonestar Roundup this year. I'll try to attach a couple of pictures of the roadster. The specs are as follows: frame: unknown make with Ford crossmembers installed and CE x-member, engine: Chevy small block with three dueces, Trans: Saginaw 4 spd, Radiator: Cat dozer with outlets moved, Rear axle: '57 Chev, front suspension: dropped Ford axle with Chevy van brakes, rear suspension: hairpins with model T spring, steering: 51 Ford PU, Body: 26 Ford. The car sits a little high in the rear, but I plan to modify the spring a little to get it down a little. That's about it. I'm having so much fun with the car as it is that I don't feel like doing too much more to it. Later
Welcome Beetle! Car looks good. Where bouts in the great state are you from? Pistons & Paint in Denton on Nov 12th. Hope to see ya there!
Thanks, I'm in Bellville west of Houston. I probably should put that in my profile. I get up to Arlington now and then - what type of event is that in Denton?
Pistons & Paint is a show that our club does every year. This will be the 4th one. Friday bowling, Saturday car show, Saturday night entertainment at local club. This year its Shaun Young, high School caesar and Red light Burlesque. more info at www.pistonsandpaint.com. Hope you can make it!
Yeah, we all went to the roundup but formed the club after that. Hopefully we could all make it to Piston and Paint.
