I would like some input on my new project car from fellow enthusiasts; should I use it, lose it or totally abuse it? Where to start is my first question? Give me some ideas. http://pub39.bravenet.com/photocenter/album.php?usernum=3286264699
Ideas are all over the place. Here at the H.A.M.B. and in various magazines since the late 50s. Sit back and read, ingest and process what you see and then do what works for you. And, welcome to the insanity.
Definitely a Sport Coupe and from the looks of the back it also was used as a pick,,it was common in the early days to remove the deck lid and cut out the lower panel for a small bed. It's a desirable car,,build it. HRP
that is a great start. It's a Sport or Special coupe with the upper doors cut off (too bad) Lot's of wood in those cars, but it looks like a solid start. do NOT choose to abuse.
Thanks to all of you. I'm wondering how hard it would be to get the rumble seat parts and make that operational?
I just picked up my Snyders, parts book (off the floor)and they carry floor panels, braces, seat riser ,rain gutter, just a few of the items but get out your wallet out, some of what i seen ain't cheap, I'm sure others carry the same things cheaper but it can be done.
Upper door parts should not be hard to find, being that many original door bottoms rust out so badly. Brookville also has rumble seat parts and the drip rails you are missing. Yours is a better start than any of mine (roadster, sport coupe) go for it.
1928 and 1929 Ford Sport Coupes turn into such nice little roadsters! That's what I do, especially since the doors have already been chopped up! Another vote for keeping the fenders, but I like them both ways...
