Putting a small block Chevy in a stock body 1939 Ford sedan using a Chevy to an early Ford transmission adapter, will the wish bone need to be split?

  2. no , you can do that without splitting the wishbones

No need to split the bones. Mine in avatar has a '62 283/adapter/stock trans and rear. Stock radiator with two holes blocked off. If you use a Hurst front mount you don't even have to drill a single hole. Convert to 12V and you're off and runnin' in a weekend.

Hurst was way ahead of his time with all the engine mounts and adapter kits!

Yes. The radiator shop can plug off the unwanted outlets. If you are asking if it works as far as heat transfer, Oh Yes! The flathead put out more heat than a smallblock
