This is definitely one of the coolest tubs I've seen. The T fits so nicely on the A frame and fenders, it looks brilliant, a well done job! I've just come across it through the Phaeton pics thread. The front end does bring up memories of the Lambda.

    Cheers, Eddie

I love this car!! Again...great work and story!! I have to admit thugh, that when I watched the video of your run into town, it scared the shit out of me when I saw the first car coming at you on the right side of the road!! I'm sure not used to seeing that!!! I can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Sorry for the off-topic Phil, but isn't this the T pick-up that's currently owned by Mark Dixon of Octane Magazine? Love that thing!

    Cheers, Eddie

  10. Yup - that's it. Wasn't using it near enough so sold it to someone that would!

  13. Well - in readiness for the VHRA trip to Pendine Sands http://www.vhra.co.uk/VHRA/Pendine_Sands.html

I've shod the ol' girl up with some new boots. Behold! Rubber rake!

Also, the new (to me) engine had taken to oiling a plug up, so with a couple of weeks to go I've re-ringed it and fitted a new 97 just for a giggle.

  17. Love the new tyres!

  18. I know you don't think it's a hot rod, but that's the essence of a hot rod in my book. Great stance, performance, and period improvements with an eye toward proportion, fit, and finish. Well done my friend!

I wonder if one of those small Chevy stovebolt air cleaners would fit...

  19. Thought I'd add a short video of my sedate drive along the beach at Pendine.

Been suffering an air leak on the manifold since our return which explains the appetite for plugs she's developed. Might be the header plate warped so I'm waiting for a warm, dry day to sort it out as I only have the drive to work on. Next spring then.

    Meantime. Uh oh.

I've been reading up on the Pendine races and it looks like it was an awesome event... wish I can be part of it one day.

That's your idea of a winter car, Phil?

    Cheers, Eddie

Because if Ford had introduced a mid-priced car 15 years earlier, it would likely have been something very much like this combination of T & A parts. Beefier and more powerful than a Ford but not as over engineered as a Lincoln.

Here was the twin SU's. Not yet a mitigated success but I will try again...

How cool! Love it, got a timing plate and everything... neat! Saw your pic on Octane's report of the event, looking sharp! :D

I've seen quite a few alternative carb setups used on the banger motors, but not SU's until these two came up here. How did they go?

    Cheers, Eddie
