Well guys I guess I will began my build thread. Still laying out my plans for it but I have already rewired the the car with a speedway 12 circuit, super easy install. The flathead runs fantastic so I will stick with what she has for now. I really have been kicking around the idea of bagging it eventually. Anyways I will cross that road when I get there. I just about got her road worthy. I say, I should be driving it with in a month, far from done but I have all ways drove all my projects ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1384233203.506370.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1384233215.141237.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1384233232.457413.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1384233271.524591.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1384233306.292578.jpg

Finally got all the rust out of the floors. Hopefully get everything Bead rolled and tacked into place in the next few days. I started shaping some of the floor but running out of day light. My shop is in the works of being built so all I have is the outside to work for now. Did you use pans? Or did you make your own?

Cool project! How big is the shop going to be?

  17. I used pans from Mac's. The fronts were a TERRIBLE fit, don't use them for the '53. The rears are good enough. I found some fronts on ebay that we made work. My floors were solid overall just a few holes in the same corners you're patching.

That's what I was afraid of. I found some another company make real good ones, but for the front and rear pans was going to be $550. I just could not pay that when I am capable of building some out of $20 sheets of flat lol!

  22. I heard HRP was a show off :D......I'm on the job training. A friend is helping with the metal/body work. I'm having a blast learning this stuff, automotive anatomy instead of human!

VERY nice !!!!!!!!!! The "coups" are'nt all that commonplace, all the nicer. 54 was the last year Ford made a coupe body, and a 2 door sedan.

  25. How much of the trim are you keeping? Have you done much to the body metal or does it look as good as the photos?

I'm keeping the belt trim. Slicking the rest. Believe it or not the body is as good as it looks. Defiantly an accident free car. That's why I was bummed about someone taking the side windows out cause the floors would of been perfect. The floors was the only bad part of the car.

Well haven't been able to get much done with this cold weather. But here's a few more pics after rewiring. Still need to buy a alternator, bracket, and gauges
