I like every post so far... this FAS has serious potential!

I did this original scratch for a Lot Magazine t-shirt design (www.thelotmagazine.com). Rob is an excellent photographer and gave me a few pics to consider. I picked two I liked and then scratched Chadillac's nice logo on an old sign to look like a car lot of super fine used cars. Here are a couple of progress pics to show how I got there...

  9. I agree Bo. Dig the scratch man!

    BOB… Wow, very nice.

    Gary… cool rig.

Steve, amazing splash work. Such control of your medium…

Ruben, thank you. You are missed around here, love this piece my brother.

D-Type, you know I appreciate you, thanks for the kind words sir.

I did a little surgery to this next piece top make it more H.A.M.B. compliant. Jeff is very concerned we keep things traditional and in keeping with the rules but I wanted to share this recently completed image. the lower version gives cues to the wheels and tires on the clients actual car… enjoy the "5 ALARM T"

Here's the T almost naked of it's line work. Thought it looked kinda cool.

  10. Mark, amazing detail on that drawing.

Such a thing as traditional signage!?

Larger piece is laser cut and painted 1/2" MDO board. Testing the material to see how it cuts with the intention of creating an even larger piece.

    Great work guys!

Jigger, when I read the first line on the thread i thought that "Who could ever really love this car but me?" was your idea for the theme for this weeks FAS. I was mistaken, but it got me thinking about cars I've come across on the HAMB that were catching heat for being extreme oddities...which I took as personal challenges to rethink without loosing what made 'em ...well, unique in the first place... (pardon the posting of older work)

A funky coupe-ish type abomination that I tried to give a euro-tourer meets hot rod vibe.

Rethinking the topper car as a sweptline tail dragger:

A central driven 54 vette drag car body was discovered on here a while back.. thought it could be reborn again:

And finally, this Stude coupe that had all kinds of funkiness goin on, including a continental type decklid and a late 40's roof sectioned onto it.

    What!?!

That is terrible news. He was one of the true masters. Loved everything he did.

    What a bummer....

A buddy gave me half a saw blade.....What do you paint in half a blade? A vintage Indian logo worked just fine. Gary
