  8. Mercury taillights? They seem to work in there. That steering wheel has to go though....

Looking at the interior which I've never even walked up to in all these years, it looks channeled as hell.

    Anthony.....
No its not channeled..... The matching rug on the doors to the rug on the floor gives it the appearance of being channeled.... I will say that sitting in the car with the position of the seats gives one the feeling of being in a channeled... VERY Comfortable.......

Rich. You got it down with the specs. I remember this ride when I first saw it back in the early 60s at Vinnys house in Morris Plains. I haven't seen this car since Vinny sold it.

Here she is at Lead East #1.

I had just bought a '58 Belair and drove from Downingtown, PA to the new Lead East show, not knowing what to expect. We were all knocked out to see so many old and new customs in one place.

This particular car really got me stoked, probably because of the '58 Chevy fenders, but the whole car was surprisingly well integrated, considering the number a different pieces it used.

Glad to see it's still a killer!

I know I have a couple slides I took of this at the second Lead East 25+ years ago. I thought the car had a great look and loved the 58 quarters. Glad to see it is still around today.

  29. Only thing I'd change is the steering wheel. Been a while since I pulled a tele wheel, I can't remember what acrobatics you have to do but the shaft is the same size as a lot of older GM wheels so something 50s-60s should go on fairly easy.

One of my friends put a 58 Impala wheel on a g.m. telescopic.
