Check out this 2" slice by Dave Haskell http://youtu.be/73vlDHwZtHM or: YouTube, Dave Haskell Hotrod Roofchop
Felt like I was watching an old black and white movie with the fairground music. Not sure if it's my ipad but it was like looking thru a glass of water. .!!!
I take it that was a straight 2" chop. Wonder if it could be improved upon with 1/2" more out of the front posts. I always thought a 1/2" more in front gave a '32 5w just a little more aggressive profile. Very subtle and only shows up when you can see both cuts viewed side by side. As you can see from the Utube a two inch cut is very attractive when the fenders are retained on a '32 5w. A 4-4 1/2" chop is needed when you take the fenders off IMO. Frank
As it goes Frank, this is a wedge cut chop - listen to the explanation - 1/2" more out the front, then a further 1/4" approx' (after eyeing it up outside), shorten the roof and slant the front posts. Dave knows what he's doing.
That's my good mate Dave too Steve, and I wouldn't agree he's a nutter - he just don't give a fuck for all the primadonna bullshit that goes around I notice you put an ad in for yourself here.....why not do your own film Steve ? Ed
yup once I ditched the IPAD it all became clear the guy really does know what he is doing and the music stopped . Top video. please post more , will keep subscribed for sure. Carry on chopping Carrie oops sorry Dave.
Done without any rockabilly tendencies whatsoever.. haha, what a character You guys need to send this video to the discovery channel. They would sign this guy for a new reality TV show immediately.
