  6. Update on my search for information on this beautiful '57 Belair, I found another photo of it at the "Run To The Sun" show at Lake Havasu on February 24, 2009. The show was hosted by the "Rods and Relics C.C.", caption say's it is/was owned by John Gervais. Anybody know him or the car?

Your car isn't what is considered a "mild custom" or "traditional", it's what we refer to as street rodded. It doesn't belong in this thread so I'm guessing a moderator removed it.

Please don't take offense, your car's style is exactly what this website ISN'T about.

  23. @imnuts: Didn't you post a picture of that car on this thread earlier this year and THAT post was removed as well? We explained back then why the car wasn't appropriate for this thread, the HAMB, and everything.

How 'bout a '54 Plymouth Sedan Delivery?

    Very pretty Plymouth!
Did Plymouth make a sedan delivery that year or was it converted from a wagon?

  25. I'm still trying to find that out...searchin' as we type.

I have checked my go-to reference book, the American Encyclopedia of American Cars (originally compiled by automotive historian Richard Langworth), which is usually very thorough. It does not list a Plymouth sedan delivery or utility sedan. The problem is that sedan deliveries are sometimes considered cars and sometimes trucks. As a result, they are often overlooked by both car and truck resources!

My guess is a converted 2 door wagon.

  27. The references I've found say that Plymouth's last Sedan Delivery was in 1941.

I just got a message that, indeed, it was a converted 2-door with a lengthy build documented in a Canadian twice-a-month auto newspaper. (Still looking to see if it's online somewhere.)

  28. Does anyone have any pictures of custom studebakers?
