4th Annual Nj Hamber's Toys for Tots Hot Rod Get Together

We are about 6 weeks out for our 4th Annual NJ Toys for Tots Hot Rod Get Together, held on Sunday December 8, 2013, at Wayne's Speed, 1935 Route 35 North, South Amboy, NJ, from 9AM until 12-1PM. Our first 3 efforts have been wildly successful, almost doubling in size every year. Last year we collected a little over 1,500 Toys and a sizable amount of Cash, to turn over to the USMC Toys for Tots program. The Marines are always there in support of us, and to answer any questions. So we ask that you bring out your Hot Rod, Street Rod, Custom or Muscle Car in support of us again. As always, we'll have free coffee, and doughnuts, there is no entry fee, no judging, no trophies, etc. Just bring us a new unwrapped Toy, or better yet Toys, to donate. We will once again have an Auction of donated Hot Rod Art, by some very talented people, like Hot Rod Jen, Jerry Campbell, Dennis Smith, Tyler Hilton, Gary Minner, Scary Larry, and many more, so bring some cash as well, to bid on these one of a kind items! Please remember that this is a one day Rain or Shine event, so if the weather is uncooperative, and you don't want to drive your dream, c'mon out in your daily, cause this is all about being in the Holiday Spirit and helping those less fortunate than us. We're counting on a lot of support from all our NJ brethren, as well as NY, Conn., Penna., Del. and hopefully Md., as well. This is a have fun, talk about cars event, with that said, parking is a little limited and will fill up quickly, and does spill over on to local city streets, so show up early and spend those 3-4 hours with us. We're counting on you for another tremendous success! Thanks!!!

Well, we are about (2) weeks out, for this event. Plans are made, have met with the USMC, making up new signage to direct you for parking, some new ramps being built to utilize additional grass areas to park on, coffee/doughnuts ordered, staff will be in Santa Hats this year to answer any questions for you, etc. Most importantly donations coming in for our Auction from some very talented people, with some amazing stuff to bid on, from Pinhead talents like Hot Rod Jen, Glen of Glen Designs, Jerry Campbell, Dennis Smith, Gary Minner, Miles (Von) Birch, Tyler Hilton, and more. Also many other Hot Rod related items, Scary Larry, Tech in Mind Tool sales, and others. All proceeds to the T4T program. Please keep in mind that this is a Rain, Snow, or Shine event, so if it is inclimate cmon out in your daily, we'll be there, with the USMC and a 20' box truck to fill! looking forward to our HAMB brethren to support us again in a big way! Will be doin some toy shopping this week and be there bright and early on the 8th. Judging by the amount of cars that showed up last year, I'll need to be there early to get a good parking spot.
