I need some AN hoses and fittings for a remote oil filter. I see a lot of AN nitrous stainless steel hoses available, many lengths and all made up. ( I don't want to put fittings on a hose, I want to buy it already put together)
Can I use these nitrous hoses on oil?

The stainless steel hose used for nitrous has a teflon inside and will certainly work with oil and typically has a pressure rating several times higher than the stainless hose with a rubber sleeve inside.

  3. Most remote oil filter kits use a 1/2" ID size hose, which would
translate to a -10AN size hose which normally measure .560" ID.
You can get -10AN Teflon hose made, but the teflon hose has
a larger bending radius than rubber style S/S braided hose. Also
most Nitrous hoses have straight ends on them which usually do
not work out well for remote oil filter lines. Common NOS feed
lines are usually -4AN or -6AN which are both to small for remote
oil filter lines for a V8 engine. Earls Performance Products make
an Ultra Flex 650 hose and matching crimp fittings in sizes all the
way to -16AN size, but it is not cheap. Most industrial hose shops
can swedge teflon hoses in -10 size, but all of the hose ends are
plated steel or some suppliers can order them in S/S.
Both J.I.C. and A.N. fittings are 37 degree flare angles.
