So my old lady loves 50s models, and I found this one, it's kind of rough. But the price is very reasonable.

You go through all the trouble to fix one up just for her, and then call her THE OLD LADY, Sham on you.

 

So not getting into the old lady topic but I do have a serious question. Is there any way that it could be more cost effective starting with a truck that rough? Seems to me the money would be better spent to start with something a little nicer. Unless you are building a rat rod or something like that

Thee are way too many trucks available in the world better than that rotten thing.
I'm not sure it would be much of a parts truck either.
Move on , your wife surely deserves something that could be put together before she dies!

Ok so first off, the reasonable price was free. The cab needs corners, and rockers, the same as every other one you will find. The frame won't be used as I will be using a camaro sub frame for the front and 2x3 square tube for the rest. I wanted a challenge because she wants to learn to do body work. On top of it all in my opinion the worse it looks when you start, the more proud you are of it when it's done. Yall should see the 1970 nova I did if you want to talk about rough.

body dosnt look all that bad, and for free is definatly reasonable

 

First pic looks like its smiling while pissing against the tree LOL

Still looks all there and solid, worth saving, I wish I could find something like that over here in the UK

Actually from the pictures the truck does not look too bad. Go for it. Maybe your OLD LADY will really be old by the time it's finished.

 

Hope your old lady likes it! My ol' lady likes mine. She like to show off in it with her ol' man. Oh, and the ol' girl and I will have been married 52 years in March.

 

I was thinking the same thing.

I suppose it has a lot to do with what era you grew up,,I refer to my wife as the Queen of Visa or Boss Lady. HRP

 

She loves it and is very excited about learning to do stuff on her own, and she actually doesn't mind me calling her my Ol' lady
