A friend of mine recently picked up a partially restored 31 Desoto 3 window coupe that was in really really nice shape. To nice to cut up:D but it needed a hair cut. The door windows were just too tall. So he did some photoshopping and then called me up to see if I would like to do the deed. I haven't worked on many non-fords, but these old mopars are cool. I couldn't resist. The plan- 3" chop, but only 1.5" out of the back window.

Thanks! Pedro did a lot of photoshop versions before I cut it. Further plans call for lowering blocks in the back, and 2-3 inch dropped axle in the front. He has a cool Edgy head for the 6 and its gonna get an overdrive tranny. Can't wait to see it back together:D

Thanks! I can't wait to roll it outside to get a better look at it. He might have one of those shells…I'll have to ask him.

Very nice, clean work. Just the right amount of chop.

  20. Another example of one less of a very nice surviving piece of history that is forever altered and can never be true to originality again-and looks great chopped! :D Nicely proportioned and definitely improved the looks! Love those 'different' rods!
