I know this has been discussed. I am building a 1964 dodge 426 max wedge car. I am building it to resemble what it would have looked like racing in super stock class in 64 & 65. It will be a 4 speed car, 426 max wedge. What letters do I need to paint onto the side. As best as I can tell S/S is what I should have.. Can anyone tell me definitively what would have been on the side of a stick max wedge car in 64 - 65..?

My 62 Pontiac 421-4 spd Super Duty w/ aluminum front end and bumpers was S/S in 62,63. In 64 it was A/S. I used to run the 426 hemi's and wedges with it.

S/S A, if it were an automatic car it would be S/S AA. I used to run a cheater 63 dodge G/S A. I had a lotta fun :D as it ran 1 1/2 seconds under the record! I got caught with a aftermarket manifold a few times and got put into S/S JA (not so much fun):(. The class was based on cubic inches and weight.
