Love this little thread. You got some skills man. Hope your having fun with it. I dont have your talent but I did bag my 54 a couple of years ago. I ran tall biased tires as well and put my bridge (bar across the rear frame rails) back behind so it would clear the rear end. Ugly, yes but necessary...lot of forces twisting the tops of the frame out and with bags on the top of that bridge like that. When it comes to frame stuff I always build over a bit. While I have never seen frame twists, I have never been around someone who hadnt put in the bridge....so you may be fine.

Love your frame and sheet metal designs....thanks for posting up.

Thanks for following my build, seems like yesterday
That I started on it, but it's been seven years in the making.
Now I have all the new parts to finish it. Just need to find the
Time to do some work on it. Winter season is a perfect time for that!!!

Thanks chevy54. Your work on your car, and the
Final product is inspirational man. I'm trying to do all the
Work myself. So far so good. Think I might farm out the finish
Bodywork, as I'm not set up to paint in my shop. I hope to mount the
Fuel cell, plumb the fuel lines, finish up the break lines, fab up break pedal
And install the shifter this winter, on my 12 day Holliday break
From work. Can't wait for the day I take it for a spin, since the
    235 days!!!!

Chilly gily. Sorry for the late response, but the firewall was
Made by direct sheet metal in San Diego ca. As were the toe boards, and
The trans tunnel. I did however have to re make the trans tunnel and toe boards
As they did not fit at all with the firewall. I tried taking pictures of the poorly fitted parts, and sent the parts and pictures back to them. They said if I could make them a template of what I needed they would make them for me. I decided to then just make them myself. I just figured if I was going to take the time to make a template, I would just make the parts too. Direct sheet metal worked with me and am very pleased with how they dealt with the situation, however next time I will make the firewall and other pieces myself. Hope this helps. It was all made from 16 guage steel.

Great work. Car looks awesome. Can you tell me what length top and bottom bars you ran on the 4 link? Looking to make my own as well.
