Got the body on, gonna get the doors and deck lid fitted this week, and try to get my steering column finished. I'll get pics up tomorrow.
O yeah thats my Mom driving. She climb in it and said, "So I'm the first one to drive this Heap?" hahaha
Outstanding, making great progress on a limited budget, and doing it with your Dad to boot...who could ask for more?
Mediumriser, Great start I love the stance and the attitude of the car. The windshield is perfect. A couple of thoughts, I have an all steel full fendered 29. When I drive it I cant tell if it is made from steel or plastic I just enjoy the ride. Two suggestions one put the gas tank in the trunk it improves the ride and handling. Two if you dont have one, buy Mike Bishop's and Verne Tardel's "How to build a traditional Ford Hot Rod. Enjoy the ride!
Have the book. Great info and we used some of the old tricks in the book. Thanx for all the reply's. I am shooting to have it on the road for Wades cruise-in on April 15th, but we are closing on a house soon so we will see what happens. In the mean time I will just keep plugging away.
Headlight/Shock mounts about done. Radiator and wiring harness are in the mail and my friend is painting and striping the grill shell.
Well she runs good. Got wiring done and fired her up today. Held good oil pressure and stayed cool with my Ebay china alum. radiator. All left to do is wire front turn signals, make one more wood panel for floor and stain, trans tunnel, and make exhaust. Then as I'm driving it I will piece together my interior. I'll get new shots tomorrow.
Great start !! Looks like you are doing it right!! I like it a lot... And yes, a great pair in the neighborhood !!!
Sold the car over a year ago to a guy on here in Georgia. Then I got a message on here from a guy in Ohio with some Questions. So it appears its back in Ohio again. Started this a couple weeks ago.
