Projects Got me some "Ole School" Valve Covers

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by hd1084, Nov 4, 2013.

  1. Got a new addition to the hot rod project today. I purchased a set of "OLD" school Edelbrock valve covers from HAMB member telecaster_6.
Very happy with the purchase and I think they look great.

LOL - really. If these guys wanna act like they been 'in the game' since day one, they could at least learn to speak knowledgeably.

  5. The Valve Covers look nice but it seems your distributor is on the wrong end of the engine.

They look pretty great, have you hooked up a pcv system? I couldn't see one, if so, very nice job, otherwise the crankcase will pressure up enough to blow oil past the seals and make a hell of a mess. Nice find though.

They look good. More traditional lookin' than what you had. You're gettin' there. Ya got your scoop and valve covers now. What's next, the orange steelies? Those'll look good. Hey, maybe I can influence you to get rid of those stupi...I mean, uh...fancy dipsticks. Lol.

And yeah, if you're gonna "try to act" like you've "been in the game since day one", at least learn the lingo!

    Poser...............:D ;)

  18. Thanks Hunter. And yes I know my distributor is right where it belongs.
I've only had this car about a month now and they gotta make fun of something even if its about some silly wiring.

Maybe someday my car will be PERFECT like theirs....

Save your car; replace that plastic fuel filter. They heat up, seperate or crack and light engine compartments on fire. They should be illegal.

  21. Thanks, I was actually thinking of one of those glass and metal ones.
