There's East Coast style, West Coast style, but for those from The Mitten, it's Third Coast Style, and there's nothing else like it. It's the Motor City, Automobile capital of the world. It's warm summers with hundreds of miles of sandy beaches, water skiing, car shows and cruising in summer. It's skiing and snowmobiles in winter. It's great wine, fall colors, and cold nights in front of a fire. All these things, and more shape what we do, why. Nobody does what we do, and this is how we do it.
I've admired your awesome Pontiac wagon and vintage trailer for quite a while. Beautiful. What a rig.
Sorry, but if you wanna learn how it's done in the "Dirty Third". You gotta look south. You northerners have some sweet rides non the less!
That's Crafty B's new '32, and it's gonna be seen A LOT. There's quite a bit of the build on my blog if you go back through the posts. Just click on the link to Cool McCool's Garage, and go back through the posts. Incredible car. Brian
Well, it taint the Best Coast, but it looks like you still have too much fun. Love your stuff (especially that Spartan; gotta quit looking at these vintage trailer threads and sites--too tempting!)
Brian I always love your posts and the photos. But you are a little off. Well maybe more than a little but sometimes that helps in this hobby. Geographically speaking, there is that West Coast which is way west of us. It has been called the FIRST coast. Next is the Texas Gulf coast, or the SECOND coast. I live fairly close to the Gulf coast of Floriduu, know to us as the THIRD coast. Somewhere 140 miles east is that there East coast. I've been told by people in your area that you are in the NORTH coast. Altho since I have migrated from Illinoizz to the Florida boonies I could be a little off too! Keep buildin, tinkerin, and playin wherever you are.
My buddy Kirk Brown, AKA "Crafty B" casts that, and other super cool bits seen on the car, and all are available from him on his website, "Crafty B Nostalgic Speed". From gas caps (I have on the Diamond T) to the grill shell, shifters, dash inserts, shocks, the slick windshield frame on his car, and the grill shell, they're "sand casted, hand crafted" by Kirk himself. And perhaps I should have said 4th Coast… Brian
This looks like Crafty B's site: http://www.crafty-b.net/ Here are some pics of the grille: http://www.crafty-b.net/workinprogress.php?gallery=17&mode=pages&page=19
