WOW! He does for sure. I knew a guy that died that way. Had a flat and pulled his shotgun out of his truck by the barrel to get to the jack. Wasn't good at all.

It was somewhat tragic as Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe were making their in their last films. Montgomery Clift only had two more films to make.

In honor of the Red Sox, this is a picture of Earl Wilson and Pumpsie Green, the 2nd and 1st African American players to play for Boston which was the last major league team to integrate. Upon retiring from baseball, both players served as coaches at high schools in California.

  14. Wilson also spent several years on the Detroit Tigers including their Championship season 1968 being one of the 3 top Tiger pitchers that year along with Mickey Lolich and Denny McClain. In addition to being a very good pitcher, he was also somewhat of a threat at the plate, having hit 7 or 8 home runs one season - not bad for a guy who played every 3d or 4th game.

I find looking at old signs from years ago very inspiring. The lettering styles were very straight forward and simplistic.

Even the old building just seemed to have so much more charm to them then today buildings.

This has become my favorite thread on this forum.

    Thanks for posting. Jimbo

  17. I think it's interesting that back in the day, real "badasses" didn't give a second thought to riding a Sportster. They were quick, and could outrun most anything out there. Now, the modern "posers" who are all about "my Johnson's bigger than yours" won't be caught dead on a sportster.

How about the 62 Pontiac with Cragars on the front. Those cars were all over the place in the 60s.
