snapped these pix at the Chickasha swap meet on Friday. this is a 1951 Chevy "National" two door ambulance with some pretty funky lettering on the door and above the rear fender.

the doors have "Buddy and the Bums" painted on them and "sokd-it-to-ya" appears above the rear fenders. there was some pretty far out/groovy work all over this thing but the level of fade combined with the overcast Okie autumn skies conspired to limit detail in the photos ~ c'est la vie......

    Hey all,

Newb to this forum. My name is Dan and I live in the Lacey Washington area. I have myself a 1963 Falcon Long Top that I bought in October 1999, and is my first car. Drove it til 2002 when I gacked the motor. Rolled it into the shop in 2006 to start a resto, and I had a falling out with the guy who was starting the body work. So car set outside from 2007 til April of this year. Over a span of 8 or 9 weekends, my dad, fiance and I got ole Bad Bird flyin again. We decided to do something you dont normally see. A "gasser" wagon. We just put tall springs up front, and lowering blocks in the back to get the stance. I was going to bag this car, but Im thinking I might want to actually put a straight axle under it and do it right. I really like the way this car looks. I could not quite imagine it in my head, and it turned out better than I expected.

Its got a .060 302, aluminum heads and intake, holly carb, ridiculous cam, hooker block huggers, reverse installed Flowmaster 30's and 3:55 gears. It wasnt built to go fast. It was built to cruise around town and sound good.

They sound like Flowmasters but under acceleration they get rasphy like a glasspack. My engine builder in Portland has hard data showing you get 5-8 more hp installed backwards.

Where was the "waterfall" pic taken? It looks like Highlands NC.

I'd love a 60 Buick wagon, had a sedan for a while and they are just too cool!

My 56 wagon I currently have. Getting lowered and some more striping done in the next couple weeks. And a few of my past wagons that I wish I still had....
