When i built this T in the late 90's, I was going after an early 50's look. Now there are a few things i would have done differently, but I was young, inexperienced, and it was my first build. I still have the car and drive the snot out of it. And my 29 A.
plenty of cool old rods here. anybody else notice not one fat person in all them pics. we even had good food back then!
No fat people? That ain't no shit. Love them old pics. Built this to be a 50's style budget build. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I'm sure you're right. The wheels on my 28 are 21", so no surprise I suppose. Maybe I'm just too used to seeing 16s on hot rods.
Here is a older one I sold that was 50's inspired. Love Model a coupes. The green one is my current one. Working on the interior now. I drive it almost everyday Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Wow man, this looks like it was shot in the late 40's. You REALLY nailed it! My '27 T Roadster build: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t= 734383
Amazing thread. IMHO this is what the H.A.M.B. is all about. Great pics and great commentary for all us youngsters who're trying to keep it as traditional as possible.
My uncle's hot rod as it progressed through the years. Last pic taken in 1961 at the Milwaukee Autorama. After looking for the truck for over 20 years, I've just located it! It's unchanged. I'll post current pics when I get them. Here's the thread on that: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=233033&showall=1
Who cud get tired of looking at that baby blue beauty? If you do, you're on the wrong site! Yer Unk's '35 PU is looking pretty sweet, too. Congrats on locating it.
