HI, Its been a while since I posted, but last year did a road trip out to western Queensland Australia. I took the camera and snapped as many shots that I was able to of rotting tin sitting around out there.

Don't feel so bad, looks like there wasn't that much left anyway. I bet you'll get some bucks for the RHD setup... Did you ever find out how a right-hand-drive car wound up there? Postal delivery vehicle or some such thing?

The car was Canadian Army, I found it's number but have not had the chance to look into it to see if there is any info on it, I'm not even sure where to look.

I saved all of the RHD stuff for my other 40 Chev sedan that is in really good shape!

Those headlight buckets are pretty distinctive. And you can make out the sidemount in the fender. I think we have a winner!

  15. Don't know what it is, but it sure looks like its been there like that for a very long time.

  16. That Pierce Arrow would be one heck of an ambitious project.

Courtin' can be a long process. I have a '36 windshield and frame, so I'll probably bring it over and fit it up to one of the coupes...that will help show him I'm genuinely interested. I got along with the owner just fine. Told him to think back 30 years ago and remember what these cars looked like when he parked them here. He said he saw my point and maybe he should pick out his 5 or so favorites and let some of them go before it's too late. We'll see.....

It may not be "restorable", but I'll bet Ron Blissit or one of the other Pierce Arrow guys in the world would take it for parts.

Does anyone here recall the 1955 Chevy convertible that was buried? I am trying to find that link/thread. Thanks in advance. Mike

the last guy sure liked taking the noses off of those 36 fords. I sure hope you can save them and the missing parts are near by.
