I have a question, about the ford drive lines. at he bar the other night, I didn't want to speak up because I didn't know for sure, I know that ford used torque tubes, and some open drives in some trucks, but didn't know when and what years they started, somewhere between 1940 and 49 I think, and was the first modern 9" open drive in cars in 49?

And, the first open drive in passenger cars, is for the 1949 models - It's just not the 9-in, it came in 57, as noted above
Also, I believe 117harv means PICKUPS, beginninig 42-up
I don't know about big trucks
